Frequently asked questions

For customers

Open a professional's profile, pick a service and a free time slot, and confirm. What happens next depends on the service, and the service page tells you which before you book: either the booking is confirmed the moment you confirm it, or it goes to the professional as a request for them to accept or decline. Either way, you settle the details with them in the chat afterwards.

No. Treto handles no payments at all. You pay the professional directly, in whatever way the two of you agree.

Yes, from your cabinet, any time up to the start of the booking — and the earlier the better, since someone has set that time aside for you. After it starts you cannot: if you did not turn up, the professional marks it as a no-show and that is how it stays in the history. A professional may have their own cancellation terms, and if they do, they have to tell you before you confirm the booking.

The professional. The contract for the service is between you and them — Treto is not a party to it, does not set prices and does not deliver the service. If something goes wrong, raise it with the professional first, and tell us as well so we can look into it.

What the professional answered when we asked them directly whether they work as a business. We do not check that answer against any register — it is their own statement about themselves. It matters: consumer protection law applies when you buy from a business, and does not apply when you buy from a private individual. Until a professional has answered, neither label is shown and they cannot publish a service.

No. We do not verify identity, documents, qualifications or licences. Every professional confirms, each time they publish a service, that they hold the licences that service requires — the responsibility is theirs. We do act on reports, and we remove content and accounts that break the rules.

For any confirmed booking, within 30 days of its end — after the service is completed, after a no-show is marked, or if the professional cancelled less than 24 hours before the start. Bookings where the service did not take place are labelled as such on the review. On top of that, the stars on a no-show review count towards neither the service's rating nor the professional's — the text is published and can be read, only the score is left out; so an average can be computed from fewer reviews than you see listed under it, and the caption beneath it always says how many. One review per booking; once deleted it cannot be written again. Reviews cannot be bought or exchanged for a discount, by either side.

Your rating and the text. If you choose "Do not show my name", they do not see your name or photo, and we do not disclose them to anyone. With a professional who has few clients they may still work out who you are from the time of the visit — so we do not promise anonymity, we promise not to disclose your identity.

Talk to the professional first; most things get sorted that way. If that does not work, use the report button on the service, the profile or the review, or contact us directly.

For professionals

Add a service with its price, duration and availability. Publishing your first one turns your account into a professional account — there is no separate registration.

You need every trade licence your service requires by law. Separately from that, we ask you once whether you work as a business or as a private individual, and show your answer to clients — their rights depend on it. You cannot publish a service until you have answered, and the answer is yours to get right: we check it against no register.

Nothing. Treto charges no commission and no subscription today. If that ever changes, we will tell you in advance.

Directly by the client. Treto does not process payments, does not hold your money and takes no cut.

A confirmation that you hold the trade licences, permits and certifications your service requires. Treto does not verify them — the declaration is what puts the responsibility with you, where it legally sits.

You and the client choose it. There are six orders: newest first, oldest first, highest rated, lowest price first, highest price first, and most popular — meaning most viewed. Newest first is the default. Each order sorts by that one thing and nothing else; there is no hidden weighting, and there is no way to pay for a higher position — we do not sell placement.

Yes, once per review. The reply follows the same rules as the review itself. We do not remove a review just because it is unfavourable, only if it breaks the rules or the law. Marking a no-show does not take the client's review away from them, but its stars do not count towards your average: recording a no-show honestly should not cost you your rating.

Tell the client yourself, as early as you can. Repeatedly cancelling at short notice is grounds for us to step in — it is the single thing clients hold most against a marketplace.
